Lawrentians are in for a surprise when they return to campus and see the transformation to the Getz Sports Complex!
The multi-purpose turf field will showcase boys’ and girls’ lacrosse competition and tournaments, as well as soccer and field hockey. The field can also be adapted for football drills, practices, and games. Upgrades include a state-of-the-art turf and shock pad, all-new spectator seating, lit and landscaped pathways, and an ADA-accessible entrance. Part of overall campus enhancements, Getz Sports Complex will link to the all-new track and field venue, adjacently located, creating a seamless experience for athletes, students, and fans.
The project is supported by the generosity of Samuel G.T. Fisher ’07 and Sakurako and William Fisher P’07, Bert Getz'55 H'56 P'85 GP'18 '20, Bert Getz Jr. ’85 P’18 ’20, Kit and Robert Howard GP’15 ’16 ’19, Michael Tiernan '68 P'01 '05 '09, Paul Violich P’87 ’08, and an anonymous community member.
