Mike Goldenberg Wins Advocate of the Year Award

Congratulations to Athletic Trainer Mike Goldenberg, winner of the 2021 Cvent Superstar: Advocate of the Year Award. This “People's Choice” Award recognizes a Cvent user who is passionate about event technology and is recognized as thought leaders and industry experts by their peers.

“I am truly honored and humbled to receive such a prestigious award, especially since this “People’s Choice” award was voted on by the community.  It is also sobering to receive such a recognition from a profession outside your own.  I am truly grateful to all those individuals around the country who voted for me.”

Goldenberg was recognized for his work on the 2021 Eastern Athletic Trainer’s Association (EATA) virtual conference, which saw a 40 percent increase in registration and a three-fold increase in revenue. He is a past district director of National Athletic Trainers’ Association District Two (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania), and he has served on numerous committees and in many NATA and EATA leadership roles. At the state level, Goldenberg served as the Athletic Trainers’ Association of New Jersey (ATSNJ) Secretary for four years and was Chair of the ATSNJ Technology Committee. In 2013, he was honored by his alma mater, Plymouth State University, for his service to the profession of athletic training and in 2018 was the first athletic trainer inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame. Goldenberg is also a member of the NATA, EATA and ATSNJ Halls of Fame.
